the bottle lid has cracked and so doesnt make an air tight seal

the only way im converting to electric is if i can get a switch mounted in the old floor pump

id like to get the stock system working really

On me Mk3 cortina with the floor bellows and ring switch i conected into the ring switch wiring and used it to fire a relay to work the leccy pump

easy stuff, the hard part was changing the washer bottle bracket to fit a leccy bottle in

not sure if they use different brackets in your aplication?

does the cap come off?

warm it up and stick some fairy liquid round the seal, hopefully it will leave an air tigh seal to get you through the mot at least.......might be worth a try

no its bugger all to be honest

i had to do it to my mk1 escort when the bladder bag ripped

just get any small electric washer bottle, mount on bulkhead and connect to pipes to squirters

pickup a 12v from the ignition switch with an inline 2amp fuse to a switch, then from the switch direct to the pump motor

the other connection on the pump motor can just be earthed to the chassis

the bottle can be fitted anywhere cuz the electric pump has loads of pressure, so it could fit fitted in the boot to help weight balance ;)

i know its an easy job to fit an electric bottle and pump, ive even got one in the shed

just wanna keep the floor mount manual pump cuz it love its retroness :D
