i own one of each, but i hust get the impression people think there bangers, there not real classic cars like mk1 and 2 escorts or mk1 2 3 cortina

i dont think they are, but other people have said they are

but to be honest mk5s are still being used as bangers

TBH I get the impression some people don't know what a mk1 cortina looks like, same with the transit, some people think the Mk1 transit came out in about 1983......ie they think the Mk2 transit is the first! As for the Mk4/5 being a banger, it's only a matter of time before the banger racers are outpriced, just like they are with the Mk2 granny.

Are they bangers? no i think thats pretty much taken over by the Mk1 mondeo nowdays
