what type ?

 

the anti rattle or the actual thicker metal bars that hold the pads in ?

 

im sure my local motor factors do a kit , best try them

Emm im guessing here as i dont have any at all! Just the pins that hold the pads in the caplier with maybe a little clip to hold the bars in the caplier to :)

I have 1 question to that i needs to be cleared!

 

Do the 2.8i capliers and sturt need a spacer plate between the strut and caplier so the disc is in the middle of the capiler?

Yeah i think they do unless you are using 2.8 struts. Most of the places in classic/retro ford sell them or you could make some, sorry i don't know the dimensions :sad:

My calipers have some thick washers between the caliper and its mounting face, both strut and caliper are off a 2.8. I dont know if thats the norm though or if mine have been bodged at some time!? Any old washers that are the right size would do I imagine.

If i can use the right spacer i will :) cant be assed to play around with washers but if i cant come up with them soon ill just use some washers because i wanna start my car tomor but cant drive it because no brakes! :lol:
