sporty-corty16v Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 saab turbo lump bolting on a vauxhall box..for easy 300bhp....wot do u think for a oldskoolford a bit different..if a xe fits then why not
Rick Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 those saab turbos are cheap as chips too! it crossed my mind when a neighbours was for sale but engine conversions get expensive when things dont fit
Burns Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 they fwd originally? (don't know anything about saab's )
hotrodholty Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 yep FWD. but they go like fook, im not sure if the motor is transverse or inline like an audi, another conversion iv thought about is the volvo 5 cylinder turbo motor which has been done in an escy
GT_Jim Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 i was thinking about this a while back when they were talking about the gm saab bits having the same bell housing pattern as the XE's - dont 1.8 manta sumps fit xe's as well as the 1.8 gearboxes could be worth a try
