So how do they all fit together, my theroy is, and its probably wrong, that it goes like this,

The bearing is a match for were it is sitting in the photo, so its compress the spring, put on the spring plate, then bearing, then top mount then nut?

I know you can get different sized top hat spacers probablt for the orginal inserts?

Also I have these rear dampers, i know the dail in to change the setting but it does not feel like it does anything or does it after it has some compression on it?

Any help would be wonderfull

Can't help you with the fronts, but if you dial about 5 clicks in and hold the damper as if it were on the car you will soon notice the change. I use mine on about 5 clicks to keep the back soft going up to 20 when the car has a load in.

I dont feel any clicks on them, they just feel loose  , or do you have to proper turn em hard

That does'nt sound right (mine are escort ones). Mine have a nice positive feel to each position (it's not really a click but you feel it settle in place). They feel better than the spax ones i had on another car that felt loose pos 1-5 and then positive from there. There should be some resistance in the adjuster rather than a loose feel.

that bearing should be in the top mount, then one spacer from the bottom, the other from the top, then push the strut through, and put the nut on

The top hat spacers have tiny holes but the inside of the bearing fits perfect over the second diameter down just past the treaded top, i dont know if this is fluke or made to fit?

That sounds fine to me

i dont think you have the right top hats looking at the pics again, cant you drill them out to fit the strut? did you tell them wit struts you are using?

From memory I drilled mine out to suit the strut thread and you just want the threaded bit protruding above the hat.

Failing that as Baz says, see if you can source some hats to suit the dimension of the strut thread...

The bearing on its own fits perfect were the arrow is on the picture, i cant drill out the spacers unless I want the bearing on the tread. I might have to call gaz about this one, when they made them they asked what top mounts I was using i said i aint got em yet but probably roller top mounts from rally desgin, he said okay i will just make em to 21mm or 25mm cant remember
