Burns Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 that's an odd looking machine is that an imp engine in the back?
lotusless Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 LEAVE IT!! bit of an odd one though never seen one like that before
Mick The Mig Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Not a factory built car. The Singer Chamois was a "badge engineered" Hillman Imp. They had a nice engine for its day, all aluminium as I recall. In the sixties the bike boys used to them in drag bikes.
Savvi Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 I think the Chamios was the "sport" model of the Imp. The guages are from an Imp as is the engine .................. my brother had a mint one as a 1st car i was 14 at the time and thought it was "ace" !! I would think a Hillman or Imp guy will pay lots for it as it seems a "rare" car. I can see why you like it, bet it goes well if they've tuned it to 1500, i can remember some guy that used to look after my brothers Imp had some "race tuned" ones that not much could keep up with.
