over_head_cam Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 To the prats that will get us banned from the car park Don't you get it? Burnouts in the car park and exit road will get us thrown out of the venue and barred for good. Don't think I'm trying to be a killjoy, but the owners of the venue, the local traffic cops and residents nearby have all complained to us and we are on thin ice.
lotusless Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 thats typical now they will all say "i wasn't me" + blame it on non osf members

kevmk2 Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 Who was the guy in the orange/red mk1 fiesta sitting there doing a burnout for about 1/2 hour? Did they moan about all the bikes doing burnouts and revving up?

Did they moan about all the bikes doing burnouts and revving up? I had to laugh when a guy fell off his motorbike whilst waiting to pull out (he wasn't even moving) he had only had it 4 hours And yer them bikes were doing burnouts and all sorts
marky4 Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 yes the bikers were spinning up but it's got nothing to do with OSF
72mk1escort Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 yes the bikers were spinning up but it's got nothing to do with OSF I know that But just not fair if they can get away with it (which i doubt they do) But still has to be said the bloke falling off whilst stationary was classic

over_head_cam Posted March 8, 2008 Author Report Posted March 8, 2008 The bikers are there on their own. Everyone who is at an OSF meet is affiliated with OSF (whether they are members or not) and so we are ultimately responsible. They will chuck us out and we will struggle to find another venue. Box hill is the 'home' meet of OldSkoolFord and we don't want to lose it because of a few individuals who don't give a toss about anyone else I could put a list up of the cars I saw, but that would be finger-pointing. The people know who they are and will need to wonder to themselves if they think it's OK to fook it up for everybody else Rant over

Hunter T Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 Apologies if i was one of them, spun it up a bit when leaving but no burnouts... It was a quality meet tho i hope nothing prevents us from doin it again... was great to get the mk1 out for its first real run in my ownership and meet Baz

over_head_cam Posted March 8, 2008 Author Report Posted March 8, 2008 No Neil. They know who they are. A bit of spin is bound to happen but intentionally doin it after all the posts and stuff about it means to me that they WANT us to get turfed out. I know it sounds like a bit of a whinge to some, but it is so important for OSF to keep in Rykers good books Not to mention the amount of pedestrians about, including a lot of small kids. From the announcements at the bottom of the front page: This will be the first BOXHILL MEET of 2008. Everyone welcome in their Old Skool Motors. From 10am - mid/late afternoon Please remember this is a public car park and we would ask you to behave yourselves. There may be a police bike present so be warned and watch out for the fixed and mobile cameras on the A24 bypass
jamesmk1 Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 this type of thing has to shop befor it puts a end to old skool ford meet's. it's not just box hill the same thing happens at the ace and it need not take long for them to shop the all ford night. also take a minute to think of the shit the admin have to put up with after the meet. if you want to do a burnout go to the pod where no one can get hurt. i don't mean to sound like i have having a rant but i like 99% of the other enjoy the meets and don't see why some people should bull's it up for all of us.
