mk1ian Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 i think it's the same has car all about your own taste's and it cant be no worse then the one's got, could do with some more colour i think for my self i cant see how poorly done tattoos are the same as everyone has different tastes in cars, i m sorry maybe its just me that insists on a high standard of work for something thats gonna be there forever i ve had alot of work done by top artist and people are always asking where i got mine done and then ignor my advice and go down the local scratcher that some bloke down the pub with football tattoos recomended and then come back to me unhappy with the shite cheap tattoo they ve got done. there are some amazing artist out there these days just takes time to find them and resurch who would be best suited for the type of style you want to get done.
lee_capri Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 but if you give some the man the jist of what your sort of looking for he can then sort you your perfect tatoo has i would put that in with something else has more of a sticker on the side of a car poss has i do love v8 cappa's
mk1ian Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 but if you give some the man the jist of what your sort of looking for he can then sort you your perfect tatoo has i would put that in with something else has more of a sticker on the side of a car poss has i do love v8 cappa's it all depends on what man you ask to draw up your perfect tattoo though doesnt it thats all i m saying. basic rule of thumb is a decent tattooist will have a minimum of a 3 month waiting list. a shite 'scratcher' you ll have to wait 10mins while he sets up!
lee_capri Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 that's very true and choseing the right man is like picking a car but not has easy to get rid off you have to live with it the reast of your life, the guy we have in town is very good so im lead to belive but i will probley go back to the usal place has have no complant's was thinking more on a bonnet of a cappa mk1
FlashCadillac Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 i thought you'd all seen it im going to have the sleave done around it and make it darker, maybee lose the flames... not sure yet but im not 100% happy with it like this might have this one done theft by finding i m sorry but i dont think thats a very good tattoo at all. poorly done and its neither old skool or new skool in style just lost somewhere inbetween. i wish you guys would resurch your artists as much as you do your cars mate... i have to agree, the artist let me down, i designd it myself and it was a lot better on paper, there are no end of things i dont like about it and after hearing so much good reports about the artisit i was dissapoined... and yeah i learnt a lesseon... dont design them yourself, let the artist design it, he knows what hes cable of and knows what he's good at but i think your a bit of a t*at.... you talk about new school and old school like its some kind of law that i have to have some kind of goldfish, cherrys or bio mec around it.... why do it have to fit into a class... im into cars not styles of tattos! but like i said, im looking to get it sorted out and turned in to a half sleave now if you can reccomend someone to do that who you think could live up to their reputation im all ears

Stu_B Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Mk1ian talks sense... the majority of high street artists are not artists, they're just some bloke with a tattoo gun! I strongly believe it should be a heavily licensed trade but unfortunatly it's not
