PaulAshman Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 What is this pipe with a filter type thing on the end? It is mounted on the top of my drivers wing in the engine. It has started leaking oil out through the mesh bit on the end. Why would this be? Any help please. Cheers, Paul.
PaulAshman Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 Would there maybe be too much oil in the engine and so it is releasing it???
V8ian Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Long time since ive seen one, I think its an anti diesel valve, its meant to stop the engine running on when using sh-t fuel
capriaddict Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Whats the other end of the pipe attached to??
PaulAshman Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 Goes down into another pipe and then into the engine.
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 its to stop running on but theyre shit just remove it (ovbiously blank off where it fits to )
PaulAshman Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 It also has a small wire coming off it, is that an earth or something? I will remove it.
PaulAshman Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 The wirer actually goes round the engine bay to the fuse box to a 16A fuse
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 just disconnect the wire too from the fuse box its years since i removed one of these but car ran fine with it removed
PaulAshman Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 Well I have done it so i'll keep you posted if any more problems. Thanks for help. Paul.
