inverting leaf springs.

is it possible to flip your leaf springs upside down to go super low??

 

the idea came to me earlier while the car was jacked up on one side and the whole weight of the car was on the one wheel.

 

looked low as fook and supe cool but the spring was nearly inside out lol

wouldnt think so, they would bend far to easy and you would deck the car every time you hit a slight bump, if it wasnt already on the floor that is

yep guess decambered is the best way to go low

my mate has done that very thing to his vw caddy...i told him it would knock...and it does knock....badly

before the leaf springs we are used to, they did have inverse ones but they created some rather unwanted handling characteristics! so, i wouldn't advise it!

mine have gone the other way after ragging it last year

Its just a matter of having the springs re tempered and made semi straight
