I've got Yoko A048R's on my Fiesta very good in the dry but haven't really tested them in the wet.

A friend of mine put some of the same tyres on his Capri but took them back off 'cos he said they grip so well that it wouldn't go sideways in the wet !! But have heard others who say they are useless in the wet.

I run road legal track day tyres (yoko A032R's) on my Renault 5 turbo and they are much better than normal rubber . They cost twice as much and wear out in a few thousand road miles though . If i fitted them on my mk1 escort then i would kill the rears in a month (depends on sliding and wheelspinng etc )

I found Toyo 888's are very cheap from Martin Hadland from Reyland motorsport, he quoted me £131.35 for 2x 195.50.15 and 4 tyres for £238.71. Simply tyres was £64.62 each inc vat, plus delivery.

So slightly cheaper from Reyland with delivery. Free delivery on 4 tyres from them.

Yoko 48r's have gone up in price since january. They are around £85-90 a tyre
