On my cossie engine, can i tee into the fuel supply pipe to the injectors, and regulate down to 5psi for the NOS solenoid

The engine is standardish and the NOS is only 50hp, so no more than 300hp. i think the standard fuel pump will flow 400hp.

Is this ok or must i run a seperate pump and fuel line.

I have been wondering this myself, I too run injection, and have thought about the T thing, Do you plumb it pre or post injector regulator, I would think post, running on the excess fuel your injection does not use, BUT and its a BIG BUT, if the fuel returned to the tank is not enough to support the NoS you will destroy the engine, Im now going to run a dedicated fuel line from the tank, Via a swirl pot, I can see me getting a Ally tank made in the same form as the Cortina one so I can have enough take-offs, Saying this, my tank has been modified to run my injection without a swirl pot, Just made up a extended Pickup to the rear of the tank, and fitted a devilbliss stem paint filter on the end of it, then to the biggest fuel filter I could find, then pump.

Ian , on my anglia, i left the original tank in place and use a lifter pump to top up a swirl pot in the boot, then from the bottom of that to the fuel injection.....

no chance of fuel starvation to the injection pump that way.(yours may suck air under braking)

No mods to the original tank needed, just a a new connection on the filler neck to take the return from the top of the swirl pot.

I have not found a regulator that will reduce rfom 55psi to 5psi, but dont see why i couldnt run the NOS fuel supply at 55psi like the injectors and reduce the size of the jet to compensate for the higher pressure.

Cos i'm turbo my fuel pressure will have to be higher than the boost pressure

i am trying to contact a kit supplier for their advice on jet sizes.

Will let you know what i find

Teeing into the main fuel line is ok.

The jetting of the Nitrous is done after you know the exact fuel delivery pressure

Just check the fuel pressure from the outlet of the fuel solenoid with engine running.

You will need to put in a test jet to do this properly

Damn, I was gonna say that :lol::lol::lol:

I know the fuel pressure at the moment is 55psi when running, must i test it again with the nos fuel jet installed and open

Found this jet size calculater

When the boost comes on, will it not raise the pressure of the fuel and mess up the ratio of gas to fuel.

As the NOS will only be activated on full throttle and full boost, should i put 13psi into the regulator, open the NOS fuel solenoid and then read off the fuel pressure with the engine running ?

mind you, this might drop, as the engine speed and load draws more fuel through the four engine injectors. !!

Or am i getting to complicated.
