Tom Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 mate i've seen a 306 put the vales through the camshaft!!! that was one fooked engine!! quickest way to check is time up the engine whack a new belt on and see if it'll run. cheap and only a couple of hours to find out if its worth spending 500 quid on
bashmk1 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 thats cos most peugeots the valves open directly downwards towards the pistons so the camshaft takes the brunt. every 1.9 diesel we get will break a cam, same as the 1800td escorts. with the renault the open at an angle and therefore just bent valves, whip the head off johhny and give me a ring, as i said ill help where i can.
