Is this too low?

Oil pressure on my 1660 xflow.....

 

This is with new 20/50 classic green oil and the engine hot running a standard oil pump.

Does look a tad low TBH mate... mine sits on the 1st line up as a min when idleing when hot... Is the Oil Pressure warning light coming on???

 

I run 15w40 tho... not sure if that would mean i would have higher pressure as the oil is thinner

That's ok mate , as long as it goes about half way when your booting it

mate i f you want i high pressure pump take yours off and inside (without taking it apart) you will see a spring held in by an interference fit plug.

 

This is the pressure relief valve and if you take a suitable drift and tap this plug in a mm or so it will increase the pressure of your spring and raise the oil pressure.

When I drop off the go pedal the revs drop so much that it cuts out. How do you turn up the idle on webers?

if you put in a commercial oil pressure gauge u would no the exact pressure

which webbers?

its down near where the balane bar is on them on 1 of the 2 carbs i think any way il try find a pic

yes its in the middle of the two carbs, pretty easy when you know how
