speedo/rev counter needle paint?

Can anyone recommend a paint for the orange needles that always fade to yellow in late mk2 escorts,mk1 fiestas etc.Mine are well faded and i thought they could do with refurbing.

i painted the speedo one on mine once n the painted weighed the needle down so the speedo didn't work very well after so be carefull howmuch paint you put on

you can get some die that actually soaks in and doesn't affet the weight, used to use it on RC Car wheels, can't remember what its called though , ill try and find it
