Valve cleaning

I have a set of valve I have removed from my engine, whats the best way to Chemicially remove the residue from them, I seem to remember people using caustic soda on their old 2 strokes to clean them???

Some sort of oven cleaner??

I've used Vinegar before - Worked a treat too!

Your right mate, Caustic soda works a treat. Mix some up in a bowl, chuck in the valves, and leave over night
