4parajon Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 My business partners wife (called Chris)who works for us, and I have known for over 10 years, is a close personal friend, babysat for my kids etc has had a stroke Ive just been told. Fortunately it seems it was a "mild" one and the doc reckons its a "warning". She's not been right for a few days with us all telling her to go to the docs but she would'nt listen, anyway after threats from me telling her that I would drag her there if need be she went yesterday afternoon and is now in hospital awaiting scans etc to see how best to treat her.............I'm absolutely gobsmacked, she is only 51.
MightySprocket Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 thats aweful news, never nice when its someone close, hope she feels better soon
Toby Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 If it was just a mild one I'm sure she'll be fine, I have two family members that have had them and are normal now - well as normal as they were before. What brought it on? High blood pressure?
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 16, 2008 Admin Report Posted May 16, 2008 Sad news John but at least (fingers crossed) it was just a warning .... she should get all the right help and treatment now Puts things into perspective doesn't it
4parajon Posted May 16, 2008 Author Report Posted May 16, 2008 Tony my business partner is at the hospital now after having call from Chris (his wife) earlier which he could'nt understand about an hour ago. He's just called to say the docs have told him it was'nt a mild one but a full on stroke and she's now very poorly. The docs do think it was brought on by high blood pressure. Thanks for the kind words.
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 I hate news like this I wish her a speedy recovery
