lee_capri Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 it's been a pleasure to work for you but you can take your job and shove it up your a**e that should get you out straight away
mk3cokebottle Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 what do you actually have to put in the letter to end employment? plus wanting to leave straight away without any notice period , is this allowed??? if you can wait leave on friday when you get paid just leave....... if you write a letter and you have signed a contract then they have the right to hold back pay until you have worked your notice basically got ya by the danglies....... or just book 2 weeks holiday then dont return afterwards cos you will get two weeks holiday pay in ya wage packet too

Rick Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 go sick for a month and think about what to write then hand it in
Durham Fiesta Posted May 25, 2008 Author Report Posted May 25, 2008 already had a week on the sick, but was genuinely ill. Glot a new job already and they want me to start asap
flyingbanana Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 most places do a week/month hand in pay ......so if they had that then you will lose it anyway if you leave straight away with out notice....thats why they want a week notice etc to try and stop people doing it
lee_capri Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 start the new job and just ring in sick to the old one ive dont this and went back to the old job as i did'nt like the new one
Rick Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 good point. you may not like the new job! i nearly made that mistake once
Durham Fiesta Posted May 25, 2008 Author Report Posted May 25, 2008 trust me its can't be worse than where i'm at. new one is more cash, closer to home, less hours and with all the cool people from my old work doing easier stuff
Durham Fiesta Posted May 25, 2008 Author Report Posted May 25, 2008 most places do a week/month hand in pay ......so if they had that then you will lose it anyway if you leave straight away with out notice....thats why they want a week notice etc to try and stop people doing it we don't have that, you get paid for the month you've worked at the end of each month
emu Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 How much notice do you have to give? a month or a week?? If its only a week then just work it. Really, your new job should appreciate that you need to work out a notice period and be prepared for you to do so, even if it is a month. You shouldnt really burn your bridges behind you mate. Your current job might be crap and you cant wait to leave. But in the future you might a need a job and if you leave on good terms then at least there is a chance you might get re-employed if you REALLY need to be.
Durham Fiesta Posted May 26, 2008 Author Report Posted May 26, 2008 i have to work a months notice not bothered at all about pissing people off at current employment as they have robbed us of money , treated us like shit , and are just Apple Pies really
X-pack-Glyn Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 i put in my last one "im going to work for the circus so i can work with prefesional clowns instead"
steve dray Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 it's been a pleasure to work for you but you can take your job and shove it up your a**e that should get you out straight away Class!
Durham Fiesta Posted May 27, 2008 Author Report Posted May 27, 2008 went in today and handed my notice in saying i'd be leaving on friday. Everything was fine until 10 mins before we were due to go home, then they decided me and my mate weren't allowed to take the work van home, like we do every day, which meant we were stranded 20 miles from home and no way of getting home. Luckily one of my mates came to pick us up . So thats that over as there is no way i'm going back what a set of twats . At least got a few days to prepare for CF
timmy4doors Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 they sound like complete twats mate , you were better off leavin
