atomic-cortina Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 Personly I think that after 2012 ths country is going to fall apart. Not only will it all end in a cloud of smoke but how expensive is housing and land going to be? Roads will be over crowded, no one will be-able to get any where and I think the whole situation is mad! What do you guys think? Will I be going? Not a chance in hell!
5hane Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 its stupiud, how many people have joid my school because the had to leave newham is annoying...
FredTransit Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 The Olympics are a waste of money! If they put the billions wasted on it into the NHS and road infrastructure this country would be brilliant!

Burns Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 looking at it from the sports person point of view, getting the olympics for the uk is absolutely amazing. we're going to have some of the best equipment in the world for our own top flight athletes to use to enable them to compete at the highest levels, no more excuses for us being crap at certain sports it's also going to bring massive levels of income into the country, think of all the tourists that are going to be visiting, spending their money in the hotels, the shops and the local area it will cost a lot to run, but it's not that much when you consider how much income it will generate for british businesses (don't forget, it's not only london that will be holding events) it will be a right nightmare for a couple of years for people living in the local area, but it should increase good public transport, improve the roads in the area (they're not going to show off our country with shitty roads), and provide those excellent facilities to the areas in which it is being held. we've got some excellent athletes in this country that cannot reach the top level because of lack of facilities and this is the perfect excuse to get them built
escamino Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 It's just another way for the goverment to spend our money and then tax us more.
JAY PS Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 The stadium will be built and then some of it pulled down after the games finishes ,what a waste of money and whats that all about ! It wont be built on budget on time unless we get a polish company to finish it ! Mayor Kens legacy that will cost tax payers millions !!!!!!!!!!!!
atomic-cortina Posted May 29, 2008 Author Report Posted May 29, 2008 There are far more important things this country should be spending their money on, I heard the other day that 6 existing football pitches will be dug up to make car parks and then put back after the olympics! How much money will that waste alone? It will be a target zone for terrorists and after the games most of it will be pulled down anyway. It doesn't matter what way you look at it, the sheer amount Britain will pay for cannot possibly be paid by the money coming into the country. All ready, houses in the area are becoming over priced and closer to the time, the cost of living in the country will become enormous. We are heading for a total disaster and this country, London in particular is going to suffer BIG TIME! The last thing I see it as being is amazing, it's a pain in the
Burns Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 which buildings exactly are going to be torn down after the games?
