Sort of Duff-Spunk (& it's very hard for me to keep it that polite), tries to convert a Pre Crossflow with a front drop sump and dipstick at the front, to a rear mounted dipstick (a-la crossflow) and drills the hole in the wrong King place???? Not to mention it's boss-eyed as well :evil: What a nob!

So Jim has been busy fixing yet another bodge/problem before he can start engine build number 1947. It makes my King blood boil... there was so much crap in the hole I never realised it was there... until I started to clean it

Fred: "Ere John, lets convert this old shitty Pre Crossflow to fit in our Escort"

John: "We could but we need a dipstick at the back"

Fred: "'ang about, i'll get me drill... where should it go?"

John: "Erm... about there should do it"

*Drilling sound and some moments later*

Fred: "Oh bollix... I've drilled into the camshaft"

I actually wondered why there was a drill like crater in the camshaft :roll::roll:

End of rant & let's discuss... please

I know how you feel mate.

The crossflow in my Anglia came out of an Escort.

The sump has been cut up and welded to convert it from rear to front well but the dip-stick hole is still in the rear of the block so I have no idea how much oil is in it. :banghead:
