1660 points gap

Got a 1660 xflow and 5 speed going in the escort over the next week or so,

 

got my new plugs which are different to standard, changing all the ignition bits aswell, the engine has big valve heads. Does the points gap need to be the same or bigger... How much bigger

 

whats the standard points gap for a 1600 escort?

I agree but its a lot of money to spend on a car i intend on getting rid of as soon as the capri is back... Then again, buying another engine was too much to spend. How much would you spend converting to electronic?

i would have helped if the tits at the motor factors hadn't sold me the bits for a mk3

 

took the points out of the box and was like.... oooo thats a bit fancy, oh... doesnt fit

 

 

 

and to be honest i think im more likley to find a feeler gauge than a blade fuse in my garage
