oil cooler sandwich plate

Hi i have got a leak on my oil cooler sandwich plate to engine block joint . i did not build this engine so question is should the plate screw off the original oil filter connection . i dont want to damage it so any advise please

undo the large nut in the middle and the plate will come away

if its leaking between the block (or oil pump) and the sandwich plate then check the o ring is there (or not knackered)

Leak all sorted out now and treated the E to 4 litres of duckhams and a new filter . my oil pressure even increased by 15 psi very happy and ready for a weekend of OSF cruising
