Just got back and i look like a lobster!!!

Really good day, very relaxed atmosphere, nice place and some really great cars.

Shame that the grip is non existent, but i still ran a 14.8 on my new engine which is a second quicker than my old pinto on 40's and fr32 cam at the pod.

It will be nice to see what it can do when its properly set up and with some sticky tarmac underneath it!

I just got back and we had a great day, I won't forget going through the dartford tunnel at 7000rpm alongside Tom. The sound of Xe and xflow on 45's echoing off the tunnel walls was epic.

I managed to improve on my previous time and got 15.67secs, which I was very happy with considering I have a 4 door ghia with all the trimmings. Hopefully with an LSD and tarmac I'll be able to beat 15.5secs.

Phil mate the track was shocking - even the cars on mega wide slicks were struggling!!

You do a practise launch after a burn out and it just spins!!

I'm hoping for a low 14 after a gerbox oil change and some decent tarmac under me :D

But yeah the tunnel run was wicked - you only realise how hard your pushing it when you get to the bend at the bottom

My car was all rattly and creaky when i got back but i'm gonna put that down to the heat.

In all a really good day was had

This one place I want to go to and check out my time on Tarmac - I suspect tarmac is a different ball game in getting the power down optimum. Couldn't make this weekend but next time... :ykt:

Nice to see you today Tom. Car looking 8) as ever.

I let Nicola race my car today. She managed a 15.9 which I thought was reasonable considering it was her first time racing.

I had a sneaky go at the end and did a 15.4.

Best of all......... didn't open the bonnet the whole meet and it was toasty all day

I'm a bit annoyed with Mother-in-laws DVD camcorder. It has def recorded on to DVD but my PC or multi-region DVD player won't see anything. So I can't say I'll sort that out anytime soon :(

(secretly I think it is Karma as I promised to only use it for her daughter's wedding)

On a good note, I had a friend down there who is a very good photographer and I'll post his photos as soon as he does.

On another good note Tom, and on the subject of poor brakes, I did some Physics calculations at work (meeting was boring) based on Princess pad size, distance from centre of hub etc etc - if you swap your 247mm discs for 260mm discs so all of the pad is used you will get a 13% increase in braking torque (force).

 Now I know I am sad :P

PS karen, i popped over to admire your car but you weren't about. I'll introduce myself next time. How did you do?
