I have been thinking about putting 15's on my mk2 escort.

What size tyres do you run? And what did you have to do to get them to fit or did they bolt straight on?

Oh and could you stick a pic up of your car with them on.

Cheers AD

One of the initial questions was "do any changes have to be made to make 15's fit...?

I don't know cos I'm on 13's but would be interesting to know.... :ykt:

Thanks for putting the pics up Jo,

The arches on mine have been rolled, and the fronts do rub a little when turning, hope this helps

Blimey that's nice and straightforward that is ...

15's would help with the journeys to OSFDC events then take the rear ones off and replace with 13's shod in nice Hoosier rubber 8)8)

Yes Ed would help with the gearing, saying that, I run 195/40 x15 tyres on mine, so not sure if the rolling diameter would differ much from a 13inch wheel running a 185/60 x13 tyre :?

Thanks for the replies and photo's guys, will be cool if i only need to role the arches.

No don't do it.....13s are proper old skool

I'm kinda keeping it oldskool, i'm going hotrod style, 13's on the front and 15's on the back!

You welcome to try one of my wheels for size, brookie 15s with a 195 45 tyres on, so the correct offset, just let me know and we can run it round to try...

plus with fifteens you can get big brakes in there, like 283mm cossie discs like the ones i have for sale complete with calliper brackets

Cheers mate, I'm actually trying to buy a pair or brooklands wheels.

Brooklands on the back, specials on the front!

I might have to take you up on that offer if i haven't found any buy the time i get round to doing work on the rear arches, probably another year yet at the snails pace things are going at the mo!

Cheers again!
