Mr surfing_turnip face found this about 6 milezs from my house today.

Its at a pub in the car park.

According to the DVLA its been off the road since 1978 and I asked a pikey guy outside running the merry go round and he said it belongs to the land lady and its for sale. unfortunately the deafeningly loud 50's rock and roll music prevented me from staying inside for more than 5 mins and we couldnt find her.

Looking around it the sills are a tad rusty. As are rear arches and a few rust bubbles here and there but Ive seen worse. Interior is just anky and full of cob webs.

What you think its worth and shall I go back and ask about it?...I feel cheeky walking into a pub and asking if its for sale

i wouldnt of said more than £200 for it  it dont look too bad...just crusty in places. I reckon itd be prime for a resto....re-spray in battle ship grey on lotus steels  with a cage and a 1.3 xflow

i am too nervous to go into the pub and ask for the landlady so i can ask about the car

when i went in today everyone stared at me like i had a penis on my head

took all my courage to ask the pikey by the merry go round if he knew who owned it.

I found it hard to order a coke with the music been so loud so had no chance asking for the land lady about the car.

Any advice people!???.....I might go back tomorow :?

antz, use ya head and ring the pub !

i did think of that! Only thing on my mind is...

if i get it i dont know how to move it, i have no where to store it, no money to do it up either....or do i try and get it just for the principle of saving one from the scrapper

id be very surprised if you get it for one or two hundred quid, nevertheless if you do buy it ive got a mate with a transporter in york, hes coming thro a week on thurs to fetch the 'barn find' to my house, hed prob take yours to ya house for 20 quid.

just call me eagle eye

just ring the pub tomorrow and if its cheap we'll go n get it. if u pump that tyre up its not far back to yours and its all downhill. Even if the brakes dont work we could always take an anchor

Go for it Antz there's no harm in asking mate!

I don't want to piss on your fire but you can try your luck at £100 you never know you might get lucky, but most of the 100e's are going up in price these days and you could be looking more towards £500.

100e's have always been at the cheaper end of the OSF range but because of the prices of Escorts and the other more popular (no pun intended) models reaching silly prices this is having a knock on effect.

Don't be put off but the rust, the 100e's are made from quite a thick metal sheet and are easley repaired. Hope you get lucky and grab yourself a bargain. :D:thumbsup:

Do it Antz

Just walk in there , up to bar , and ask to see the landlady . Then just ask her outright ! Job done .

If you don"t ask , the next time you see it it will be on the way to the scrapper....save the old girl :mrgreen:

im not very confident in person so might ring up.

the 100e diudnt look too rotten. worst parts seemed to be the rear arches and just behind them...everything else was surface rust.
