Airbag Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 I dont have a garage, whats the best way to protect my capri over the winter months? I need somthing that wont reck my new paint! I dont mind spending a couple of qwid if it helps preserve my car. Cheers
Admin Vista Posted June 24, 2008 Admin Report Posted June 24, 2008 Regular use, thorough servicing and plenty of washing, polishing and waxoil underneath. I find it keeps my car ready for use from day 1 of the next season.
5hane Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 any where you could put up a concrete garage? or a gazebo
mk2 stu Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Find a really big tree, gather up some nuts and berries and let it hibernate with the squirrels!! Or alternatively find a garage you can rent with good locks, remove all fluids, if you can jack the car up of its wheels and dont apply the brakes. or just buy it a big coat!
Airbag Posted June 24, 2008 Author Report Posted June 24, 2008 renting a garage is a no no as I need to have access to it to work on it. carcoons look fantastic but are far to expencive! Would somthing like this be any good? http://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/store/pro ... 254&page=2
Yeomans22 Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 an awning or gazebo to keep the main snow rain ect off, the olny thing is when it gets ice on it will melt , so u will be best taking it for a drive as mich as you can, also may want to consider blocking up the scuttle panel with duck tape to sotop the water getting in. you could always as one of your neighbours to let u borrow their garage?
Toby Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 carcoons look fantastic but are far to expencive! Would somthing like this be any good? As you have time before winter - hopefully - how about waiting for a carcoon to turn up on the bay? After all Mr Airbag should have an Airbag!
