Copey Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 work on the checkouts, you get paid more because its 'stressful'...apparently...(its really not)
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 27, 2008 Admin Report Posted June 27, 2008 my friend worked evenings for Sainsbury's and became a supervisor within a short time and got fairly good money as I recall ... sorry, dunno how much though
Messenjah Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 if you work nights as a shelf stacker for them u will get fairly decent money because its unsociable hours ...
Cookie Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 When Hard times hit a few years back I used to work for b and Q stacking shelves, money was appaling, but job was easy enough, main thing to put up with is the few nobber customers who think they can talk to you like shite Mind they do say that if it was'nt for the bloody customers , shop work would be perfect.
Copey Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Mind they do say that if it was'nt for the bloody customers , shop work would be perfect. all too true
Gonzo Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Used to shelf stack at sainsburys on nights. If you can put up with the weirdos that ALWAYS end up doing nights, it's easy enough work, but pretty physically demanding, especially on your hands. Pay's better on nights. I think it should legally be time and a half on nights, but I know Sainsburys don't pay that. If you can get away with using an MP3 player whie you work, it makes the time pass a lot quicker, but a lot of management won't allow it due to 'health and safety'...
Yeomans22 Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 i work at tesco, part time £6.50 per hour after 6 months and 10% off everything except petrol and fags, free shares every year, too. nights u get about £8-9 per hour, and night managers are on up to £48000 a year if ur a high end one.
m1c Posted June 28, 2008 Author Report Posted June 28, 2008 and night managers are on up to £48000 a year if ur a high end one. fook i settle for a budget-lower end manager role, thats not bad considering and its not far off what i do now anyway
vibrating_Cake Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 work at asdta tesco sainsburys driving the delivery vans! asda = £6.06 an hr tesco is £7.30 an hour and i think sainsburys is between the two. i work at the asda one. cock on job driving around all day. having at least 2 hours of skiving time a day. and if its quiet even more. would be happy doing this the rest of my life. its good fun... but as said before the wages are shiiite!
MK5 Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 i know someone who worked for Morrisons. Pay was shite and they treat their staff like they are scum...
