Clubman rally car spec?

Does anyone know where i can find the specs for turning my mk2 escort into a clubman rally car? saftey equipment, chassis mods, required or not allowed? Etc etc

Have you tried the MSA Blue Book? Have a look on the MSA website too or speak to retro (Gary)

Hi Mark, you may be supprised how little you really need/required.

 

It all depends on your choise of venue/rally, budget ect.

 

The blue book can be very confusing!! even for the scruitineers, as it tends to be contridictive.

Hi mate, basically i am looking to get into stage rallying as cheaply as possible, and i was just interested in finding out the basic requirements for clubman spec, i am not after a screaming BDA powered beast (although that would be nice!) just something possibly pinto powered to get me started.

Not really sure yet, but i am leaning towards forestry, loose, gravel etc etc

maybe a few easyish ones on car and driver to get me started

hes just built a mk1 mex rally car,for forest rallyin,

 

i go for a fun but competitive car strong pinto thats not guna let you down,strong box and axle,turreted,4 link,panard rod,seem welded,underbody skidded, a good read is the escort prep manual sorry garry if u read this its old but worth a read to get some ideas

gary is not a fan of this book,its very old and some of the idea are out of date,but its a good read for a novice

It is a very good book ..... my ex built his car up to GP4 spec using this manual
