rob-loves-osf Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 hi all i have noticed that guests can look and send comments etc through hear and it only takes one smart ***E to notice where you keep a car and well.. they dont leave a trace through here or anything rob
2.8i Cossie Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 Think its either meant to be 'read' or 'see' comments Ive noticed this on a few sites over here where someone would take pics of the car and put them up on the site showing their new jap import or whatever and a lot of JR were reading the sites and picking locations outta the profile and past comments to track down the car and next minute it was gone. I think its a bit of common sence is whats needed to watch how much information you put online about where you are from and where the car is kept. But besides that at the end of the day if they want the car....they will have it Even the police who read over the sites cant stop it
rob-loves-osf Posted July 5, 2008 Author Report Posted July 5, 2008 no they can leave general comments this can be clamped down! by going into the admins pannel to the site and the admin(creator) going into the security or general user settings and letting no guests view anything but the forum rules and leave no replies as they cant be guests they have to sign up leave in an isp code etc so they can be traced! and stopped!!! clamp down rob
