Got the Estate back

Well, we eventually got the Estate back after being off the road for almost 20 years, complete rebuild and paint job (gone from lagoon Blue to Monaco Red / Ermine White.

 

 

 

Took her out to the Waddington Air Show on Sunday, first time to a show since the rebuild. Weather was a bit boring with showers every hour or so, but the show was good, shame the Vulcan didn't get to fly (old skool problem, alternator playing up )

 

On the way back Mrs Smudger was waiting at a junction and a twat in a Megane ran in the back of her! Not too much damage, but it's still a bumper, bumper iron and paint damage on the n/s/r quarter.

 

Still, as the doris in the car that hit her said, it's lucky it's an old car and not a new one...

Gutted mate, I had some tinker lol do that to me a week after I'd finished the resto on my old GXL capri. bumper, 1/4 panel and wheel arch all trashed equalled a very very angry Vista ready to spill blood!

Mrs Smudger made me laugh, she said had a convo with the passenger in the Megane..

 

Mrs "I think you had better get back in your car"

doris "Are you threatening me?"

Mrs (in her bestest calm voice) "I am getting very angry, and I think you are getting angry, and I'm suggesting that it might be better if you got back in the car"

Though Burns' mother was gonna deck her! I think I would keep out of the way if she started swinging punches!
