caprinerd Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 nice wish i could have made it. were there many there
bortaf Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Cool pics Hmm yes some web sites have a few 2 faced members who'll happily buy cheap parts from a racer (or as in some cases free parts in a clear out ) then moan when the same racer actually races HIS OWN car I keep pointing out that this 2 faced approach only ailienates potential supplys of parts but some just don't get it Some of em have even scrapped perfecly good and rare cars cos of a snapped bolt but thats ok for them to do it. SOME of us appreciate both the parts and the racing
MightySprocket Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 what happened to the tina? do you still have it? I reckon it could be straightened out: new wings & a bit of filla
Liam. Posted July 22, 2008 Author Report Posted July 22, 2008 spent hour or so with the sledge, you would never no shes back out at coventry 1st of august
walsh253 Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 i cant stand you banger drivers wrecking cars like this went to smallfield that day instead
caprinerd Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 race there as well now they have some rare tin, 2 mk1 capris loads of escorts singer gazzel hilman hunter
mk3tina Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 if theyre rotten just race them if theres no point in a restoration. if theyre saveable then pass them on, thats my opinion on it. looks like a hell of a fun thing to do, and i may well do it someday when cash allows
dogdish Posted August 2, 2008 Report Posted August 2, 2008 Agreed! If they are that far gone just give them a send off.HOWEVER, i know of some american cars that are first class that were stolen and raced at Buxton about 4 years ago.One was a prestine 74 Plymouth Satellite estate.
Liam. Posted August 3, 2008 Author Report Posted August 3, 2008 that tina only wanted a plate in the floorwell for mot, was a beauty. rusty ones are a waste of a day they just fall apart. i only race 1 a year so i like to get a goodun
Liam. Posted August 26, 2008 Author Report Posted August 26, 2008 4 meetings on... and shes dead. brilliant car, had a right laugh in it
bortaf Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 4 meetings fook me she done you proud don't fancy a Mk4 shell do ya? i'll take that one in PX (if it aint already gone) (i need the uprights) V good shell but needs a diff (rolling on a knackerd axle), no engine/box, int or glass either so you'll need to keep that lot Oh and it has Mk5 wings, well actually it has no wings but i can find some Mk5 ones to go on it Looking for £150 outright £100 if i get your old shell was gonna cut it up for pannels but running out of time and space and money and time and money and space
