seem to remember something years ago saying that the SA export cars used heavy duty shells (like RS cars). has it got double skinned strut tops etc?

South African Sports were heavy duty shells

OK, car has been in the garage today and I now have some better shots of the Diff. Also the garage noticed it had 9 inch rear drums and large front brakes and they all look standard. The tester also said the rear shocks were in an unusual position pointing almost straight up and the strut tops are double skinned.

Of course, he could be right, but I have looked for the Johannesburg made Ford axle and can find no mention of it. If it is one I stand corrected
