is the dash pannel the same for a standard dash and six clock dash?

i kno i would need a new dash top and the six clock dash but does it bolt straight in? we have had a look at the wiring and pretty similar.

anything to watch for?

 

p.s. its my dad's 1300 xl

No-either cut out the old dash completely and replace with 6 dial type or just cut out enough carefully for the dash to fit into-the dash & dash top will cover it up. Just do a little bit at a time and keep checking the fit.

my dad was gonna do this but its a bit of a pain to do and we couldnt be arsed

 

spent £30 on a rev counter and bolted that on instead
