(quote for another website) Driftracing.co.uk, in association with Pure-Carma events will be running another Drift event at Essex Arena raceway on the 20th SEPTEMBER. The format will be the same as last time. Helmet is required The prizes for the drift competition will be decided on the night. IF we get the required 16 drivers, there will be a £100 prize for the best drifter. The track will be wet and dry at intervals during the night, depending on what certain drivers want. Track teaser time costs £5 for 5 minutes. To drift all night, it will cost you £30. If this goes the same way as last time, that £30 will get you HOURS and HOURS of seat time. We're hoping to get a mobile rolling-road down there this time, so people can get some rough power figures. Turn up, drift, impress the crowd. ok so it may be mostly jap stuff down there, BUT if any one wants to have a pratice in a old 'crap car' there welcome along.. it dont matter if you crash its not too serious a trailor/ dolly/ a frame would be really good to take with you so if you smash up ur car you cant take it home but for use who havent been to arena essex.. you hit the wall 99% time you will bend / break something.. soo please dont take ur osf round unless rue a) rich a brill driver.. just buy any thing RWD and come for the night most of the time you wont runin a car.. just take out bumpers, pannels (dents ect.) and rads but dont worry ! its all good fun ! a skyline and a FC both crashed lat time.. if ur worried about crashing .. take it slow BUT if you dont want to drive you dont have to thee should be burger vans ect. open and there was a little show and shine (full of crap last time.. we need some real cars there !! ) last time (not garrenteed this time im afraid tho) also last time 2 pro driftes turned up and were drifting round opposite ways, passing each othere MID DRIFT round the bends !! ok so if any ones interested ur welcome along apparantly 26 (So far) drivers say they will be coming if you want to ask any questions go here essex-drift-day-lets-get-ready-ruuuuuumble-20th-september

5hane Posted September 19, 2008 Author Report Posted September 19, 2008 well last time they had a bit of a 'show and shine' but it was full of chav crap.. would be nice to have something good there but, i wouldnt take the three door every one will beg you for a go, and even if it aint there car.. some ont hold back . one bloke took his 24v serria xr4i there, my dads m8 asked for a go and was inches from the barriers the bloke who owned the car was next to him and shitting it there was a mk2 4door there last time too, but that was full of wheels for a car.
