Right quite an update on the Escort i have fitted new rear brake assemblies i am not running MK1 Escort Mexico 9" rear drums i have also brought and fitted a 3 Spoke RS Steering Wheel.

 

Also i have brought a set of 4 fully refurbished RS 4 Spoke Alloys complete with new tyres i had to buy the correct wheel nuts for them from rally design only £30 posted :mrgreen:

 

Anyway here as some pictures of how she is looking now.

As you can see all i need now is some center caps for them so if anyone has any of the chrome ones which stick out like Jonnyh's ones that they want to sell that are in good condition and ready to go on please PM me and let me know how much you want for them :wink::thumbsup:

yeah baby yeah 8) speedshack do the caps new but there not a excact fit ie they rattle a little. but if u put a bit of tape round the base im sure they would be fine :thumbsup:

only my opinion but you gotta lose the front drums :?

 

I know i know i have a servo and some front legs just trying to track down one caliper and one steering arm then i will be away. Sparkycapri has the bits i need so i am now just waiting on a PM from him :thumbsup:

Front disks make a vast difference, I had drums all round on my mk1 when I first had it - they weren't on for long!

Fitted capri struts and think I changed the steering arms also, fitted a single system servo also

 

Been reading your posts on the projects (? about 30 pages) section, car looks great!

Im glad you guys like them ive had my Dad in my ear ever since they have been on there saying ive ruined the car :roll::lol:

 

Hes not the one that has to drive it daily if he did he would realise why i fitted them after all the 12" steels with 155/70 tyres didnt hold the road to well :lol::shock:

looks spot on mate, iv got some old disc brake front struts, calapers and steerijng arms which your free to have, just knocking round by back yard. let me know exactly what you need and you can have them for the postage cost or collect them :thumbsup:

Thanks for the offer mate but i have some sorted now however i might need one drivers side steering arm off of you at some point if thats okay as my drum ones might not fit the disc legs :thumbsup:

all i get is your not doing this your not doing that

 

that is why i never told him i went round silverstone in my 2 door at ford fair last year till i sold it :mrgreen:
