banger racing specifications

but.

 

i think im gonna turn my fezza rolling shell into a banger racer

 

ie: fit a cage weld up whatever needs welding and give it a fancy paint job.

 

all it needs then is a 1600 xflow and itl b good for racing

 

but what kinda work needs doing, i know a few of you do this kinda thing so any help appreciated.

completly stipp the interier

 

or could u stock car race it ? i bet that would be as much/ more fun and you can continue to use the car alot

there is more to banger racing than you`d think to start bangers you need to lay out some money for parts the cage alone is nothing like you get in a race or road car best bet is to go on to oval page and chat to some that do or have done bangers to start with what promoter you going to race with as trackstar are different to spedeworth and have different rules you wouldnt be able to race it in the bangers and if you raced in the metro and smal bangers then you cant use 1.6 so best chat in there and see how the ground lays

you will need probane overals, chicken plate,a frame cage, type a bash hat bonnet pins that run through bonnet and either inner wings or chassis fire extinguisher, internal mirror i used a ford cargo door mirror, you will also need an internal fuel tank ,a battery cage and a starter switch system as you cant use keys, and a kill switch mounted to the cage

you should sprint it rather than banger it, it's a lot kinder to the car and is still extremely cheap
