on a 30mph road in norfolk,just about to pass 3 kids walking along the path,then suddenly one decided to step on to the road to let some one going to other way past.......he didnt even look at traffic coming up the road....he nearly got hit/run over by me in the lorry

 

im glad i got quick reactions and was able to steer around him and not get hit by the front or back wheels of the lorry,or this kid with either be in hospital or dead by now and i could be in the cells by now

 

when he caught up after i stopped he said sorry has i think he relised what he did...one lucky teenager!!

 

so any one had lucky escape from nearly being in a accident

Gary was coming home last week and had just got his front wheels over the far side of a zebra crossing (with the van spanning it) when a girl turned off the pavement (didn't look) and walked into the van, flipping the door mirror in and scuffing the back edge of the door. She was glanced off and fell to the floor. Turned out she was actually deaf, so you think that looking round, even near a zebra would have been critical. She's got a fractured skull and various cuts and bruises. The Police were good, didn't even give Gary a producer. I actually had to insist they looked up the insurance for themselves. Gary had his licence with him.

i suddenyl think to myself hmm theres a few tractors carting grain about ill slow down incase i meet something......next corner i come round and theres a combine taking up his side of the road and half of mine thank fook id slowed down so had pleanty of time to get out the way if id of still been going quick id of had to dive in the ditch or go under a wheel

went over a junction in leeds the other week, came down the road (about 20 yds after the junction) and there's a load of students messing about by the road, one of them went to play punch his mate who stepped backwards to get out of the way and straight into the path of the girlfriend's car (that i was driving). good thing i was paying attention cause i was already stamping on the brakes before the other half realised what was going on. as it went, by the time i stopped he was supporting himself on the bonnet of the car.

ive seen a major problem in the town centre of norfolk the other week.....the lights for the Pedestrian crossing changed to red my side so im waiting for them to cross and lights to change....they get the green man come up they are just about to cross then a 3 buses zooms past in the other direction.....which got my attention straight away....on a quick visual, inoticed their is no lights for the other traffic coming from the other direction.......i think their is a accident waiting to happen one day....the road name is st stevens street by the shops.......the lights missing is on southbound has if you are heading out of town towards the roundabout......so be careful if you go out of town that way

I had to swerve onto the kerb to avoid a double decker bus on my way home from work which was heading towards me! The stupid c*** pulled over to my side of the road to overtake a parked car parked on his side of the road so it was my right of way!

The trouble with that is, even though you were in the right, you did the right thing to swerve. You can be right all day long, but will come off worse arguing with a bus.

sorry, norfolk council are a bunch of inbreds that dont know their arse from there elbows

if you ring them you get put from piller to post and then end up in the same place you started and end up with a 50 quid bill for the calls

dont mean to sound political but they aint got a clue what there doing, best to report it to the police, it`ll take them 4 weeks to act on it, but it will get acted on

I hate it when kids just walk off the pavement, round my way you get like groups of teenagers just walking up the road, they expect you to slow down I just aim for em

 

Once a group of em stepped off a traffic island but I could'nt see that well cos the sun was in me eyes, they seemed to crap them selves when I had top ancher up and started skidding slightly side ways towards em

 

Most recent was I was goin onto the A2 to go to Ford Fair I think when some doris came towards me driving up the slip road the wrong way, fook knows how she managed that

where i live the town centre is a oneway system and twice ive had near head ons with cars comming the wrong way round when i reported it i said they need to check the cctv and the answer was it wont help as its not digital

so they cant read the reg of a car because its not digital any one fancy drift racing on the road
