are they pattern parts?

no mate they are the stock ford ones, when i took em out/off i didnt take note of top or bottom, i just marked em for which bore they belong to, didnt realise they had to be fitted a certain way up, they look same both ways to be honest, no chamfers etc.

good, heres hoping you get stuck in a muddy field and the mud splatters right up your bodywork, then when the tractor comes to pull you out (for a charge of 50quid) his throttle sticks wide open and drags you into the beck

now thats sarcasm .

all bottom rings have markings but not the top comp rings,

thing is buying new rings isnt as straight forward as youd think is it, i bought a new set and they didnt fit, different profile to mine, ive learnt since that the rings have to match the same make of piston.

my original rings are well in tolerance so i wanna resuse em but need to figure which way round the top rings go, one side has a very slight chamfer on, but does the chamfer face up or down.... ive been thro it in my head trying to decide, what do you think?
