c1arke Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 every were mate, its on and off up hear, but were putting in the high speed broadband. so we got lots of work
evil knievel Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 im in the motor trade but its still all just a bit shit at the moment to be honest, just on and off! usually we get more work when people get skint cos we rely a lot on people getting there bags stolen or losing there keys etc, but i dont know whats going on. i hope it picks up soon!!
Mr Sam Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 well im a landscape gardener but atm were re-pointeing a house then a garage conversio so it looks like im a builder at the minute weve got plenty of work to last us into winter i know a few that are strugling and a chap in the next village has packed in as theres just no work
over_head_cam Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Some people are feeling the pinch at the mo that I know. I'm OK for work, but it can change in no time. I had a week of no work last month and I've still not recovered
fairlane500 Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Like most our firm is OK at the mo. As we have work that has been booked in for ages but new work is very patchy so I think it will start to hit end of the Year Big family firm in our town that's been building in the area for 150 Years has just shut up shop So things can't be too good.
Retro-gone. Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 its unusually slow at our place too, we site static caravans, problem is no-ones buying new ones at mo.
Fiesta Steve Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 I've got work coming out of my arsehole But I'm not in the building trade.
prefectopop Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 I'm a landscape gardener working mostly in the housebuilding trade. It's Ok at the minute but I can see things going very very quiet very soon. So I'm already looking at other ways to keep going. If you work at tesco for more than a year you get a 15% discount on your shopping... lol
Fast eddie Posted September 4, 2008 Author Report Posted September 4, 2008 i think im gonna strugle this winter, dont stop the mrs spending like its her last day on earth tho (range rover sport)!!!!!!!!
