Gonzo..those weights .. feck me .. 140lbs is 10 stone .. 240lbs is 20stone ... rotaries light ..

As Kev said ... V8's dont go fast where a 4 was suposed to be, its a strange thing, its just never worked, it should, but it dont. bit like a bumblebee, it shouldnt be able to fly, but it does.

Same with Wankels... they scream.. they do the numbers, but yet in any race they lose. so thats why you have the RX7 championship, and the RX8 championship, its the only way to get a Rotary to win, fill the grid with them..

Sambo, your cars been linked.. but what links, where are they placed in relation to your axle, theres a lot of difference between apickup thats 100mm from the floor and 110mm from the floor, then you have converging on CofG, diveraging, parralle, forward down, forward up, pre-load, no pre-load, and thats befor you look at the Panhards roll center.

Gp4 parts from RALLY design, west wales RALLY spares, peter lloyd RALLYing, etc are designed for a car running standard ride height, or plus 1" with 13" wheels, The clue is in the name RALLY.....the only Rally escorts that where built to drive on smoooth tarmac where the '79 Montes,

i knew this would come up one day Gary !!!

I just dont know the answer to those questions. I HOPE that since the guy who built the shell built it for hillclimbing and sprints etc..... it is set-up for more tarmac spec etc.

But, like i say, if i get myself a wicked engine any time soon, i will have to book it in to you to get it chassis mounted further back and while its there, get your opinion on the rest of the set-up!!
