antz Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 to barn finds!?!?!?! is it literally a case of right place at right time or just being a nosey bugger? i cant help but walk around my local area thinking 'theres gotta be one somewhere here' but i cant find it. i cant just wnader into farms and look around did think about putting an ad in the local paper so whats the secret to these magificent barn finds?!?!?!

I'm lucky i got a job where i'm out in a van working on cars all day long within the motor trade, i've found once people know your into old cars then they give you the nod if something comes up. Local shop windows,free ads (place your own wanted ad ?) knock on doors if you see something interesting, if you have barns and farms then go ask the Farmer if he has anything about ? Don't be frightened all they can do is say no or "F" off !!! most if they see your interested are ok.

Don't be frightened all they can do is say no or "F" off !!! most if they see your interested are ok. or shoot me with a large double barrelled shot gun! i got the alloy wheels for my volvo by looking in fields and saw a farmer with a volvo 240 in his field. so kept going back until i saw him there and did a deal. he also had a mk1 fezza but didnt want to part with it. might place a free ad in my local shop
