DaveC Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 The lads in Cork had a few meets during the summer in the Viaduct Inn. Not sure if they are still going now that the evenings have turned dark. Where in the midlands are you? Nice mk2!
quickrack Posted November 29, 2006 Author Report Posted November 29, 2006 Longford. Cork meet is to far. Maybe one nearer Dublin or Athlone maybe would work.
Pipster007 Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Longford. My Mum comes from near there. Slatta, 4 miles in the middle of nowhere from Rooskey
DaveC Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Quickrack - I have a Mk2 Mexico, wish it looked as good as yours! It has been off the road for a few years though. There should be a few photos in the Event reports section. Maybe we will have to organise one up this direction? Pipster - been to Slatta a few times. My wife had a friend living down there. It's good for escaping the city life!

quickrack Posted December 1, 2006 Author Report Posted December 1, 2006 Hey Dave. Maybe when we get a few more people interested. Was a club used to meet round here but fizzled out. How good/bad is the Mex?
quickrack Posted December 1, 2006 Author Report Posted December 1, 2006 Pipster. Big Old Ford country about Rooskey. I know of several.
Pipster007 Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 Pipster. Big Old Ford country about Rooskey. I know of several. My Uncle had a red 4 dr, which everyone kept knocking on the door to see if he'd sell it, but being a typical Boland he said he was going to do it up but I knew he wouldn't. I kept telling him to just sell it. But anyway, he finally relented and gave it to a nephew of mine last December who lives in Clonmel. Now he is slowly doing it up as he's only just passed his driving test
DaveC Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Quickrack - Yes, heard there was a club down around there. Met a nice orange Mk2 escort on a trailer somewhere around Dromod/Rooskey. The Mexico has 177,000 on the clock, a few holes here and there and it is a bit smokey, but it is all there.
DaveC Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Might take you up on that some time. Thanks!
