X-pack-Glyn Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 Nice....but whats wrong with DCOE's/DHLA's?
Copey Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 im fitting cbr 1000 carbs to my pinto at the mo chokes are 39 mm and only cost 20 squid guy on here called stefz made my manifold 60 squid just setting it all up now engine is back in where did you get that deal on the carbs??
TwoLitrePinto Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 Nice....but whats wrong with DCOE's/DHLA's? Nothing... Which is why they are so much more expensive i hear that bike carbs can give good performance whilst retaining some form of economy... its cheaper, and its different! my mates got a 1300 nova SR stock car on CBR600 bike carbs and it fooking flies
MightySprocket Posted October 9, 2008 Author Report Posted October 9, 2008 Nice....but whats wrong with DCOE's/DHLA's? the price.. i'd of thought you would have understood that Glyn, you question the price of everything

Which is why they are so much more expensive i hear that bike carbs can give good performance whilst retaining some form of economy... its cheaper, and its different! my mates got a 1300 nova SR stock car on CBR600 bike carbs and it fooking flies apparently (here's hoping) bike carbs are more town friendly, have better economy, are much smoother, obviously half the price and.... in common with 40/45s sound the nuts and should get me to 120-130 brakes power per horse
DAZZA Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Loving this idea more and more..... im hoping someone does a start to finish guide and what exactly is needed sometime soon!
TwoLitrePinto Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 wouldnt mind seeing what people really think of bike carbs, tried and tested on a pinto and xflow, all i know is what iver heard apart from that 1300 nova stock car with the 600 carbs, i saw that fly lol
