There is quite a convoy of Classics go to the modern one which would be cool.

Have you looked at the Le Mans Classic as well? Unfortunately it's every other year and it's 2010 for the next one. Looks really good though.

yeah, looked at both, it's only an idea as we're going anyway this year  there's something quite kool about having a retro car in a field of fast plastic

and of course my escort after it blew to bits over there this year :D

we all drive down on the thurs before the race anyone want to join us that would be cool. the hardest thing is all getting the same ferry as they get booked up very quikly that week, we are booking the ferry next month.

I have been to both, but I found the modern Le Mans was a bit too much like a with Brits abroad football match.

However....... the Le Mans classic is fantastic!

24Hrs of GT40s, Mustangs, Listers, Bentleys and everthing in between battling it out. Loads of classics drive over from England and there is plenty of drinking.

I was working on a Sadler and a Lister JAguar and I was pissed for about 36hrs!!!

Wait for the classic in 2010!!!!!

Have to agree with you rustypup, modern lemans is a bit like that but everyone seems to be in good spirit, and have a great time.

will def do the classic next time though

it wasnt my escort in 2007, went in my m3 that year ( which was boring ) its all about old skool!:thumbsup:

we pay about £250 for camping and race tickets, you can get this alot cheaper but the area we stay is run by a proper motorsport events company, they lay on dinner and breakfast, supply showers and toilets, its worth paying a bit more as we stay for 5 days.

They also have a huge tent with big tele etc , and sell cheap :thumbsup:

i can give the details of these organisers to anyone who is interested.

my mate paid £155 last year for 5 days camping and entrance, he goes every year and said this is the best camp site, must be quick as it also sells out first!!
