pauline Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 can i ask silly question. have a slight tyre promblem with my victor can i use a 155 r13 tempory untill on her is off a victor salon. need to use the car to go and get a new tyre normal size 165 r13 have two flat tyres and are a bit stuck.
countrybumpkin Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 as long as the axels are matched it doesnt mater if front and rear are differnt, the only thing you might find with differnt sized tires is your speedo might be abit out
pauline Posted October 23, 2008 Author Report Posted October 23, 2008 thank you thought I had better asked dont have a clue when it come to tyres and wheels
Smudger105e Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Tried to drive a car (well a Vanden Plas Princess 100 anyway) with a cross ply on one side and a radial on the other on the front after I got a puncture many moons ago. I didn't drive it more than about 100 yards like that, it was lethal!! If you are using radials, just make sure they are the same size across each axle, you'll be fine
Fiesta Steve Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 Personally I don't think it will make any diference the with the sizes you mention, there wouldn't be much difference in the profile. It wouldn't be any different to driving with one tyre slightly low on air which I see many people doing as they have no idea in there power steered plastic cars. My Toyota rolls on 17's with different sizes (profile) front and rear and the spare is a space saver which is a different size again. When its fitted the car drives fine.
