2.2 pinto or n/a yb

im having a bit of a head ache at the minute trying to decide what to do engine wise in my escort.it currently has a 2.2 pinto with around 185bhp which i am pretty happy with,but my mate has just given up on his mk2 escort project and said i can have his n/a cossie engine and throttle bodies which have never been used and should make around 230-240bhp for 3.5k.

i would like to no from any one who has a yb how much better it is than a pinto and is it worth the effort changing it.

yer i should get a decent amount for the pinto and the carbs so it would probably only cost me another 2k to get it in the car and running which i know isn't alot for a n/a yb

I went from a 2.2 pinto to an N/A cossie on throttle bodies and would say it is well worth the change for the noise alone. It's a hell of alot more driveable and obviously a bit quicker.
