Retro-gone. Posted October 30, 2008 Author Report Posted October 30, 2008 ok cheers, if push coms to shove i can clean and use my original ends, ive done that before.
Fishtailparka Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Easy enough to get imperial fittings off ebay, then the garage could make them for you using them. Easy way to tell if they are imperial or metric is to look at a female fitting. They look different. (I certainly wouldn't trust the spanner size method) Put "brake nuts" into ebay search. You can see on there how they look different. Cheap enough too. If you want imperial, they are 3/8 UNF. Metric or imperial use the same pipe (3/16)
Retro-gone. Posted October 30, 2008 Author Report Posted October 30, 2008 sound advice, thanks, i wouldnt have used the spanner size technique by the way, as far as i remember half inch and 13mm are pretty much identical specially with 'worn' spanners like mine..
