I've a mate called Cally who went to the big smoke for the weekend, and also to meet up with someone she met on a football website. She goes into the pub where she said she'd meet this guy she'd been chatting up for the last few weeks. This would be the first time they'd met.

 

So, she's at the bar, and spots him, goes over and starts chatting. She spent the day getting pissed with him and having a laugh. So, it's time for her to catch the coach home. He walks her to the coach and she snogs him for ages, and then says talk to you later.

 

She gets home, gets online and starts chatting to the guy she had met earlier. He says 'Where were you today? I waited ages'.

 

Then the penny dropped. She'd only gone up to a total stranger in the bar, who then pretended to be the person she was arranging to meet. She realised some of the things he said hadn't made sense to what she'd been told online, but she thought nothing of it.

 

So, I reckon Burns has been picked up by someone pretending to be Mand....
