antz Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 do you think hammond really did just go and buy a challenger i wonder if he is shipping it back here Na, $51k just like that? Just loaned for the show probably. Yeah but thats only about £27000 and he is a big american fan. and he did ship oliver back from africa on a spur of the moment thing Did he? I didnt know Oliver was back in the UK. Maybe he did buy it then. Nevertheless, the whole show was good last night. yes he shipped oliver back. it you watch the top gear episode where they did thr truck driving, oliver briefly appears in that episode spoting minilites and a private number plate spelling OLIVER
Savvi Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I believe that top gear did have to buy the challenger for the show and that it was probably sold straight back to the dealer when they finished with it Richard is currently driving his latest toy and it's not the challenger !!!! I will ask if on Wednesday................ if you really want to know I'm going to the filming for Sunday nights episode as a car i have been involved with is the feature for the week, i may even be on the the telly I have finished fitting a new stereo system and interior into his Mustang today and taking it up to the Nec on Wednesday for the Top Gear live show. Oliver is also appearing at the Nec later this week at the live show as he did last week at Earls court playing car football and has just come back from being inspected and put onto uk plates. Here it is outside the workshop a couple of weeks ago it's also been restored by Pratical Classics as a feature artical. Hope i haven't spoilt your fun guessing !!!!!!
antz Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 i love that car i would of brought it back if it had been me
Savvi Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Antz I asked the question for you and YES they did have to purchase a car to film the show !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was then asked did i want to buy it Been to the filming of Sundays show today, it should be a good one, the project that i have worked on most, and got me into the Top Gear work that i'm currently doing, is featured and if the same video clip gets shown i get to be on the telly along with my nice bright van !!!! We also took up another project that we built which should give a few laughs Hope you all enjoy the show i think it will be a good one, i'll watch it when im back from the live shows at the Nec on Sunday night, it will be interesting on how much is edited out.
