bigglesmk2 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I havent posted anything in about a month as opposed to daily spamming, i been busy ,kid's, work, car's, 'n' lot's of other time consuming shit But check out what i picked up today, im so excited i just coudnt keep this one to myself for long It's a genuine one owner from new 62k miles ,completely original ,laid up in a barn for the last 15 years 1.1 pop. She's dented to fook but pretty solid in all the right place's and it was only round the corner from my house, not even 2 mile away how mad is that
louie bagel Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 what a find and on the doorstep aswell
bigglesmk2 Posted November 10, 2008 Author Report Posted November 10, 2008 It does give me a dilema I know have 3 mk2 escort's,all needing work and only 2 hand's
Mr Sam Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 dented to fook why it a forklift carrying it if you have 3 can i have one welcome back dude
Admin Mk2Jo Posted November 11, 2008 Admin Report Posted November 11, 2008 Hello and welcome back Looks like a nice Escy you have picked up there
lotusless Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 nice find m8, i like the way you fitted revo's for the tow home street cred or what i know where there is a mk2 that looks the same as that on a drive, but the fool wont sell it
antz Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 how the feck did you find that!? i wanna find one
Trevmk3 Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 nice one mate, and to think a few months back yu was umming and areing as to whether to sell one of your escorts (at crich)
bigglesmk2 Posted November 11, 2008 Author Report Posted November 11, 2008 The missus spotted it a couple of months back in a livery yard,it had been laid up in barn next to a beetle and vauxhall victor. The guy then needed the space so scrapped the beetle which was being used as a chicken coup then the vauxhall went and the escy was just shoved in the corner of the yard awaiting the crusher Just so happen's i was passing the yard when the missus said "oh by the way i think there's a mk2 escort in there" What!!! One door knock and abit of haggling later and i was off to get ma rope and some wheel's. .After 15 years the tyres where well and truly shagged .......and the revo's made it look good I got no plan's for it yet? just had to get it bought.I keep having to check it's still on the drive just in case it was all a dream Oh and he was very carefull with the forklift we could'nt get it out of it's resting place without it. I think the green four door's gotta go now tho
mk1super Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I like that alot mate cant you keep all 3
bigglesmk2 Posted November 11, 2008 Author Report Posted November 11, 2008 Would love to keep all 3,but i have to look at it sensibly. They all need some form of work to get them useable. I'd never sell my blue 2 door coz it was my first car and has been with me about 9 years and was my brother's b4 that. I could sell the Yellow'ish 2 door and make quick £££'s but i can see past the dent's and see the potential or... Sell the green 4 door which is an awsome car to drive and only need's afew bit's doing and spend the money on the other mk2's Oh dammit, why cant i keep all 3
Yeomans22 Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 nice one m8, another one saved, i know of a 2 door less than a mile from me on someones drive, im going to see if i can get that off him soon.

bigglesmk2 Posted November 13, 2008 Author Report Posted November 13, 2008 Having the yellow 2door next to my four door does make the four door look really good Decisions decisions ?
ribbit Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 how the feck did you find that!? i wanna find one you've got one! great find mate, wish i could get one as easy as that
antz Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 how the feck did you find that!? i wanna find one you've got one! great find mate, wish i could get one as easy as that stop playing around with vw's and get a proper car
tommy2ltr Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 nice find mate, let the project begin
Mick The Cabbie Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Nice find, well done! I've got too many cars too, so i know how ya feel Does it look to be all solid??
bigglesmk2 Posted November 18, 2008 Author Report Posted November 18, 2008 There's a hole in the o/s wing rail and a small hole in the o/s inner wing top,the rear arche's inner and outer lip are none existent but appart from that the sill's chassis rail's floor's are all solid and look to be original with no botched repair's. Oh the door's and bonnet are pretty much rust free but not dent free ,and a hole in both outer wing top's but only tiny so can be patched up for mot or gaffer taped over for the rat look. Also got the engine turning over yesterday, sound's healthy but wont start ,no spark between the point's Too many car's is a pain,im not sure weather im selling the 4 door or this yellow 2 door,my mate came over yesterday and i might have been persuaded to part with it allready
Mick The Cabbie Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Sounds like a good base for a project then! Non existant arches can be easily turned into tarmac/forest arches or x pack even Leave any old Ford standing and the sparks usually the first thing to disappear
